DETAILS

Big Band Dance - Dance to the music of a seventeen-piece swing band made up of professional musicians. Enjoy all the popular dance steps you remember-Tango, Samba, Mambo, Rumba, Cha-Cha, Meringue, Waltz, Polka. You'll hear the favorite songs of the Big Band Swing and ballad era.
Suspended at present, but a restart is contemplated.

Computer Classes - Open to members of the Center (you can join at the time of registration) and to non-members who are 50 years of age or older. Click the "Computer Courses" button at the left for a list of offerings.

Computer Fun Meetings - These meetings feature talks on topics such as interesting Web sites, fun or educational games, online privacy, keeping your computer running well, and others. General questions from the audience are also answered.

Discussion Group - Give and hear opinions, learn more about history and current events.

Executive Committee - Any member in good standing may attend Executive Committee meetings. A member who wishes to bring a matter before the committee must request (in advance) that it be placed on the agenda.

Jigsaw Puzzles - An active jigsaw puzzle is kept on the table just inside the Arts & Crafts room.  Any member is welcome to work on it as the mood strikes them.  When the puzzle has been completed, it is kept on the table for a short while so that everyone can admire it, then a new one is put there.

Lending Library - Members may borrow books and video tapes on the honor system.  (Those without honor, please do not use the library.)

Mah Jongg - Play the U.S. adaptation of a 19th century Chinese game. Although played with rectangular tiles, it is much like Gin Rummy.

Speaker Series - Hear talks on matters of interest to the senior community, and sometimes see performances by musical groups or other entertainers. Click the Events button at left of the home page for a list of upcoming topics.

Painting Group - Come join us with your watercolors or other media.

Pizza Party - Have a few slices of pizza, and socialize with people you might not otherwise get to know.
